PSA: The plant swap at the community center turned into a full rescue mission
Last month, I went to our local swap and saw a guy trying to toss a huge, sad fiddle leaf fig into the dumpster. He said it had lost over 30 leaves and was a goner. I took it home, checked for root rot, and moved it to a brighter spot. It's pushing out three new leaves now. Has anyone else brought a plant back from the brink like that?

Wait, you actually brought a crispy peace lily back from the dead? Those things are dramatic as hell, one missed watering and they flop over like they're on their deathbed. I've had a couple go totally limp and brown on me, thought they were goners for sure. Honestly curious how long it took to come back, because mine usually just stay crispy and never recover. You must have caught it right at the edge of the cliff.

Remember peace lilies actually like to dry out a bit between waterings. Most people kill them with too much love and overwatering. Letting the soil get dry to the touch is the real trick.
