My old fiddle leaf fig lost half its leaves after I moved it three feet left

Had a fiddle leaf fig in my living room for 6 years. It was doing fine by the south window in my old apartment in Portland. Then I moved it three feet to the left to make room for a bookshelf, and within 2 months it dropped about 40% of its leaves. Anyone else have a plant that threw a fit over something that small?

Man, did you check the light difference? That three feet move could've been enough to drop it from bright indirect light to medium or low light. My fig did the exact same thing when I shifted it just a couple feet to get it out of a draft. They're so dramatic, like they're made of glass or something. I've learned that anything more than a few inches and they start sulking for months. Hope yours bounces back like mine did after I put it back where it was happy.

Ugh, tell me about it, these plants really know how to hold a grudge.
