I put my fiddle leaf fig outside for the summer and it hated it
Everyone in my plant group said a fiddle leaf fig would love a summer outside in partial sun. I moved mine to my shaded patio in early June. After two weeks, it dropped almost half its leaves and the new growth looked burnt. I learned they really can't handle any direct sun, even morning light. Has anyone else had a houseplant totally fail the 'summer outside' test?

Oh man, that's the worst feeling. It's like they get shocked by the real air and light after being inside for so long. I've seen that happen even with plants that are supposed to be tough. You really have to ease them into it over a week or two, like just an hour outside at first. Even then, some of them just decide they're indoor plants for life and throw a fit.
