Friend told me my terrarium was overwatered and it saved three plants
I had this little closed terrarium with ferns and moss I was proud of, but a buddy who keeps carnivorous plants pointed out the glass was fogging up way too much. He said with that much condensation the roots would rot in about two weeks. I cut back watering to once a month and opened the lid for a day, and now everything's green again, even the little pilea I nearly killed.

Wait... you were watering it once a month and that's LESS than before? What were you doing, like every other day or something? That's wild how fast things can go wrong in a closed terrarium.

Honestly though, overwatering a closed terrarium is way easier to fix than underwatering once it gets bone dry. A soggy setup just needs some airflow and a few days to sort itself out. Once that moss turns crispy you are pretty much starting over.
