Spent $200 on a bone folder and it was a total waste
I bought this fancy bone folder from a specialty shop online, all handcrafted and polished. Cost me $200 and I thought it would change my folding game forever. First use, it left weird scratches on my handmade paper and the edge was way too sharp. My old $12 plastic one from the craft store works ten times better for everyday binding. Honestly, I felt like an idiot for falling for the hype. Has anyone else gotten burned by expensive tools that just don't deliver?

One time I dropped a brand new chisel on concrete and a buddy of mine told me it had "character" now. @the_piper would probably say the same thing about those scratches. Tools get used, they get marks, that's just how it goes right?
