Rant: Bought a cheap corner rounder that ruined a whole batch of covers
I was trying to save a few bucks and grabbed a $25 corner rounder from a craft store instead of a proper bookbinding one. It looked fine, but the blade was dull and the alignment was off. It mangled the corners on 12 leather covers I'd spent weeks prepping, so I lost about $80 in materials and a ton of time. Anyone have a solid corner rounder they actually trust?

That "trying to save a few bucks" thing is a classic trap. It feels smart at the time, but cheap tools always cost more in ruined materials. I've learned the hard way that good tools are just part of the material cost.

My old landlord's cheap paint roller left fuzz all over the walls. It's the same with bargain tires or discount phone chargers.

Ugh, that reminds me of a cheap office chair I bought. The fake leather started peeling off in like two months, leaving little black flakes all over my pants. It looked like I had a pet rat that was shedding.
