Can we talk about using PVA glue for every bind?

I used to reach for PVA on every single project, like it was the only option. Last month I switched to a wheat paste mix for a leather-bound journal and the flexibility is way better. Anyone else think PVA gets pushed too hard for everything?

Man, wheat paste is a whole different animal. I switched a few months back for a clamshell box and never looked back. PVA is fine for quick stuff but it gets stiff, especially on spines. Wheat paste gives you that working time and flexibility you just can't get with PVA. Plus it's way easier to clean up if you mess up. I still keep PVA around for tight grain joints or when I need a fast grab, but it's not my default anymore.

That wheat paste changed how you see PVA?
