A binder in Portland showed me I was cutting grain the wrong way on every single book
I spent 2 years folding signatures against the grain because nobody ever explained it to me at the bindery in Salem where I learned, and after she showed me how the paper tears clean along the fold line when you get it right, I checked 6 of my old projects and every one of them fights you when you open it, so does anyone else have a way to test grain direction fast without tearing a corner off?
