Used to fight for hours over which character was 'right' in a story, now I ask 'what would you do in their shoes' instead

Kind of feels like people make this way bigger than it needs to be. It's a tv show or a book, not a real life decision. Just pick whichever character you liked more and move on.

I've been in enough forum debates about fictional choices to know you're right, @bailey.sandra. People get so worked up over what's basically entertainment, and it can suck the fun right out of things. Just pick the character that feels right to you and close the tab, it's that simple.
