Unpopular opinion: I argued for 3 months that the ending of 'Project Hail Mary' was perfect until my buddy in Denver pointed out a single line on page 312 that completely flipped my view.
I was so focused on the big friendship theme I totally missed the scientific inconsistency he highlighted, which actually makes the book's resolution feel kinda cheap now, so has anyone else had a book club debate where one tiny detail ruined a whole book for you?

Totally, one misplaced comma ruined my favorite thriller.

Ugh, that is the worst feeling. When you love a story and then someone points out a flaw you can't unsee. Was it a plot hole about the astrophage? I haven't read it in a while but now I'm worried. It's like the whole foundation gets shaky.
