My book club spent 90 minutes arguing about the ending of a book none of us liked
We met at Dana's place in Fort Worth last Thursday to talk about a thriller that everyone rated 2 stars or lower. Instead of just admitting we all disliked it and moving on, we got into this huge fight about whether the author meant for the ending to be confusing or if he just ran out of ideas. Now I'm wondering if we should just skip books we all hate or make a rule that we have to pick something at least one person actually enjoyed, because that meeting was exhausting.
