I spent $120 on a book club subscription box and got a book I already owned

Signed up for this monthly mystery book box after seeing it all over bookstagram. Three months in they sent me a hardcover of a novel I'd actually bought two years ago from a used shop downtown. No way to get a refund or swap since it was a "curated surprise." Total waste of about $120 over the run. Has anyone else had luck with a book box that actually lets you pick your titles?

Ugh that sucks! Try Book of the Month, you pick every title.

Wait just a heads up, Book of the Month has you pick from a curated list each month, not literally every title out there. Still a solid option though, I've been using it for a year and the picks are usually pretty good.
