Hit 3,000 pages read this month and nobody warned me about the burn

I didn't even notice until I counted for our club meeting tonight, and now my eyes feel like sandpaper but I can't stop because the next chapter happens at a train station in Chicago.

Disagree with the burn part honestly. Reading that much in a month is impressive but pacing yourself matters more than the number. Maybe mix in some short stories or graphic novels next time to give your eyes a break.

@briannguyen you're probably right but my dumb brain treats reading like a competitive sport. Reached for my phone one time and actually blinked three times before the screen came into focus. Graphic novels sound good though, maybe I'll pick up something with big pictures and not much text to trick myself into thinking I'm reading. Train station in Chicago better be worth these burning eyes.
