Found out my favorite author only wrote 3 pages a day
I was reading an interview with Stephen King's biography, and it said he aims for just 3 pages daily. That blew my mind because I always thought famous writers crank out chapters at a time. Here I am stressing about not finishing a book in a month, and this guy takes it slow and steady. Anyone else surprised by how little some big writers actually write each day?

Wait, isn't 3 solid pages of quality writing actually a ton for one day? I feel like most people who try to write a novel just end up with a bunch of garbage they have to cut later, so taking it slow probably saves time in the long run. King's got like 60 books out, so clearly that slow grind works better than rushing through chapters that need heavy rewrites.
