Best book club night ever: we tore into 'The Midnight Library' for 3 hours straight

Last Tuesday my group in Austin finally read 'The Midnight Library' and it was the most heated debate we've had in 2 years. Half of us hated the happy ending, thought it was lazy, while the other half swore it saved their outlook on life. By hour two, someone threw a paperback across the room. Has anyone else had a book split your group like this?

That sounds brutal but kind of amazing honestly. Did anyone actually get hurt when the book got thrown?

Tbh I doubt anyone got seriously hurt, probably just a bruised ego and a broken spine on that book. Worst case scenario someone got a papercut or a hardcover to the face but that's still pretty mild next to getting fired.
