That stat about purple kitchens surprising me in a big way
I was reading one of those design trend reports last week and found out that kitchens with deep purple cabinets sell faster than the beige ones in my area, something like 11 days quicker on average. It blew my mind because everyone I talk to says purple is too risky for resale, but the data from a realtor friend in Phoenix backs it up. I keep picturing a bold eggplant island against white counters and warm brass fixtures, but I am scared to actually pull the trigger on my flip house. Has anyone here tried a loud purple in a rental or flip and seen how buyers or renters reacted in person? I would love to hear if it actually feels inviting or just looks like a crayon mess.
