Painted my living room electric lime and hot pink based on a Pinterest board

I thought I could pull off a 70s revival thing but it looks like a melted popsicle in here. Cost me $180 in paint and 8 hours of my weekend. Anyone else have a color combo that looked great on screen but awful in real life?

You know a buddy of mine? He picked "sage green" from a chip. Ended up looking like old hospital scrubs. Had to live with it for two years before he could afford to repaint.
