Neon pink and electric orange made my bathroom feel like a dentist's waiting room
I repainted the half bath in my duplex last weekend with a neon pink and electric orange combo that looked killer on the paint chips, but the second I stepped back it felt like a panic attack. The colors vibrate off each other so hard that my own reflection in the mirror looked weird and I couldn't spend more than 5 minutes in there without getting a headache. Do you think this clash is actually working and I just need to embrace it, or is there a way to tone it down with trim or lighting that saves the whole thing?

Have you actually tried living with it for more than a week, or are you just reacting to the first shock? Paint chips lie all the time, but so do first impressions. I’d say slap some white trim around the mirror and the door frame first, that usually breaks up the buzz. If you still feel like you’re getting a migraine every time you pee, then yeah, maybe it’s not the vibe. But honestly, a half bath is the one place you can get away with loud colors, guests just pop in and out. Seems like a lot of drama over a small room, but you do you.
