Neon orange trim nearly ruined my client's dining room in Denver

I was painting a bold coral and teal split in a client's Denver dining room and grabbed what I thought was my trim can, but after two walls the orange started turning muddy brown, so I had to strip it with mineral spirits while they watched from the doorway, and now I label every single can with tape before I start, has anyone else had a paint mix-up that forced you to redo a whole wall?
