Neon orange and hot pink on a food truck logo actually saved my biz
I tweaked my taco truck's branding last month and went full clash with neon orange letters on a hot pink background. My old green and brown logo made us blend into every other street cart in Austin. First weekend after the change, we had a line down the block and a guy yelled 'THAT colors hurts my eyes but I NEED that burrito.' The contrast seems to trigger hunger or something. Has anyone else used ugly combos on signs or menus that weirdly pulled people in?

Three weeks is not a trend, man. Austin food trucks get random traffic spikes all the time because of events or weather, not because someone painted a gradient on a door. You changed your logo and also probably posted about it on social media at the same time, right? Confirmation bias is a real thing where your brain notices the line when you are looking for it. I have seen trucks with genuinely awful 90s clip art pull crowds just because they had good salsa and a prime spot on South Congress. Maybe the colors caught one drunk dude's eye, but that is not a business plan. You are better off tracking your average order size and repeat customers for a few months before you hand out medals to your graphic designer.
