My living room looked like a clown explosion after I painted one wall lime green and the opposite one hot pink
Spent all last weekend redoing my apartment and thought I'd try a bold duo - the lime and pink clash so hard my roommate walked in and asked if I was going for a 90s Nickelodeon vibe. Has anyone else tried a combo that looked good in your head but turned into a disaster on the wall?

Paint a third wall a deep mustard yellow between them, trust me. I once did a similar thing where one wall was teal and the other was coral, looked like a bad beach party. Ended up slapping a warm terracotta on the connecting wall and it somehow pulled the whole mess together into a retro 70s vibe that actually works. You might love the clash once you add a grounding neutral somewhere unexpected.

Nah I gotta disagree hard. Mustard yellow is just gonna make it worse, trust me. I tried that exact thing with a sage green and navy blue wall and the yellow just looked like a weird bruise between them. Ended up painting it white and it let the two colors actually breathe instead of fighting each other. Sometimes the best move is to just let them stand alone without a third color trying to be a referee.
