Thought tube rolling was a waste of time until a 2 inch wall in Gary proved me wrong
Three years ago I told a journeyman on a job in Gary that rolling tubes was for guys who couldn't fit a welder in tight spots, and he just laughed and handed me a roller. Last month on a 2 inch wall header I watched his old crew roll 40 tubes in a row with zero leaks on hydro while my welded joints needed two grinds and a redo. Anybody else switch sides after seeing a clean rolled joint hold on the first test?
