Switched from stick to wire feed on a 2 inch boiler tube job in Gary, and I'm not going back
Did a tube replacement on a waterwall section in Gary last month. Used to run 6010 root and 7018 out with the stick all day, took me about 6 hours per tube. Tried the wire feed setup the foreman pushed on us and knocked out the same joint in 3 and a half with way less grinding. Anyone else made that switch on boiler tube work or do you still trust stick for the root?
