Showerthought: We used to hand sketch every weld map on big paper rolls.

Back in the Detroit shop around 2010, we'd lay out a 20-foot sheet for a big pressure vessel. Now the foreman just pulls up a 3D model on a tablet in the field. When did your shop make the switch?

Man, that reminds me of blueprint days at my uncle's garage. He had these huge, greasy sheets for transmission rebuilds spread out on the hood of a car. You'd have to hold the corners down with coffee mugs so they wouldn't roll up. Now my cousin just pulls the same thing up on a screen in the parts room. Funny how fast that stuff changed.
