PSA: Stop using those cheap wire brushes on stainless

Been seeing guys at the fab shop burnishing stainless with hardware store wire brushes, then wondering why it rusts. Told a kid last Tuesday he was dragging carbon steel particles into the weld zone. Get a proper stainless brush or just use a scotch brite pad.

Had a buddy years ago who thought he was saving money using the cheap brushes from the home center on his stainless handrails. Six months later he was out there with a grinder trying to blend out rust spots that showed up right along his weld lines. Switched to a proper stainless brush and never had that problem again.

Get a proper stainless brush or just use a scotch brite pad" - the scotch brite thing is good advice but nobody talks about how those green pads can actually leave behind abrasive grit if you press too hard.
