Our shop switched from manual to plasma cutting on 1-inch plate six months ago.

We used to burn through three cutting tips a week, but now we're down to maybe one a month. The cut quality is way cleaner and our fit-up time dropped by almost half. Has anyone else seen a jump in productivity this big after changing a core process?

Hell yeah, we swapped to a better welding wire last year. Same deal, less waste and way faster on the line.

Honestly I was sure plasma was just a fad for thinner stuff... but seeing numbers like yours is hard to argue with. That kind of time saved on fit-up proves the cut quality is real.
