That $120 forge blower was a total dud, back to hand cranks
Spent 120 bucks on a fancy electric blower for my coal forge and the motor burned out after three uses. I rigged up an old hand crank I got for free at a farm auction and honestly it feeds the fire better. Anyone else have luck with cheap secondhand blowers over new ones?

Mine that burns out fast are usually the import ones, the 120 dollar range is exactly where they cut corners on the motor windings. I paid 45 bucks for a used Champion 400 at a scrappers yard back in 2017, thing sounds like a tractor but has run steady for eight years now. The hand crank does give you that direct feel, sure, but you can't beat walking away to tend the fire while the electric one keeps pushing air. You might have got a lemon, but I'd bet your next cheap used one outlasts a brand new box store blower every time.
