Quenched in the rain at the county fair demo, never again

Last summer I did a demo at the Clark County fair. Mid afternoon the rain hit, and I had a hot blade in the tank. Steam blew up hard, water got in my face, almost dropped the whole thing. After that I built a simple lean-to over my quench station. Cost me 40 bucks in scrap lumber and tarp. Anyone else ever fought weather at an outdoor event?

Rain and hot oil make quite the combo. Sounds like nature wanted to give you a steam facial and a new nickname. Bet that tarp setup gets more use than the demo itself now.
