Last weekend at the Stockton swap meet I nearly set a guys truck on fire

I was at the Stockton swap meet last Saturday and picked up an old coal forge for 40 bucks, figured I'd test it out behind my truck. Well the wind caught the embers and blew them right into a pile of dry leaves near his fender, and I had to dump my whole water bucket on it before anyone noticed. Has anyone else had a close call like that with a portable forge at a public event?

Get a bigger water bucket or a spray bottle and keep the forge way farther from anything flammable. I learned that one the hard way after singeing my buddy's tailgate at a ren faire.
