Just dropped $400 on a proper respirator after a close call
I was grinding some old, painted scrap metal last month and started feeling dizzy, which was a huge red flag (I know, I should have known better). The cheap dust mask I'd been using for years clearly wasn't cutting it. I bit the bullet and got a 3M half-face with P100 filters, and the difference is night and day, no more weird smells or headaches. Has anyone else had a similar wake-up call about shop safety gear?

Yeah, that dizzy feeling is what finally got me to upgrade too.

Honestly, just setting a timer for breaks changed everything. That nagging headache was my cue to step away for five minutes. Makes you wonder why we push through it, right?
