Dude at the swap meet told me my anvil was 'too clean'
I was at the Ventura flea market last month looking at old tools and this guy walks up, points at my anvil I bought 3 years ago, and says 'you ain't a real smith if your anvil still has paint on it.' Like sorry I don't want rust flakes in my steel? Anyone else deal with gatekeeping over something dumb?
