Decided to switch from a cast steel anvil to a forged one for my main shop anvil.
The cast one had a dead ring and the face chipped on a cold piece of 1/2 inch stock. The forged one cost about $300 more but the rebound is way better. Anyone have tips for breaking in a new anvil face without messing it up?
