DAE think annealing is overhyped for simple bends?
Skip it on thin metal to save time and fuel.

Define "simple" in terms of thickness and radius.

My buddy Jake thought a 90 on 16-gauge was simple, like a 1-inch radius. It looked fine until the powder coat went on and that stress line showed up CLEAR as day. He learned "simple" means nothing without the math for that exact thickness.

My last project cracked because I skipped annealing on what seemed like simple bends.
