Turned on subtitles for The Wire and now I catch stuff I missed twice before
I could not follow half the street names or who was mad at who until I turned subtitles on during my third try at season 2. Turns out a bunch of the plot is said fast and quiet, and reading it made the whole thing click. Anyone got another show that only makes sense with the captions on?
