That 3 episode arc in episode 5 ruined the whole show for me
I was binging this new sci-fi series over the weekend, and I got through the first four episodes just fine. Then episode five hit, and the entire tone shifted into this weird comedy thing for three episodes straight. I mean, it was like the writers forgot what show they were making. I actually checked the runtime list to see if I grabbed the wrong file by mistake. The side plot about the alien chef was so dumb that I nearly turned it off at the 20 minute mark. I pushed through because people online said it gets better, but honestly, has anyone else bailed on a show after a tonal shift like that? I'm 6 episodes in now and still salty about it.
