Serious question, has anyone else lost a weekend to a show's weird release schedule?

My wife and I started this new sci-fi show last Friday. The first three episodes dropped at once, so we figured we'd watch them over the weekend. Then we found out episode four wasn't coming for another full week. We spent like two hours just searching for info, thinking we missed something. Ended up reading the whole plot on a wiki, which totally spoiled it. Felt like a huge waste of a Saturday night. Anyone have a good show that actually lets you binge it properly?

Actually prefer the weekly schedule. Gives you time to talk about each episode with friends, builds more hype. Binging makes everything blur together into one long movie.

My cousin got so mad at a show that did the weekly drop thing, he actually went and bought the book series it was based on. Finished all three books before the next episode even aired, then refused to watch the rest. Said the show was too slow now.

Ugh, that's the worst! Why do they even do that? Just give us all the episodes at once.
