Rewatched Breaking Bad in 10 days vs the original 5 year run

First time I watched it live over 5 years, I thought Skyler was the worst. Binge watching it in 10 days last week flipped that completely - she's just a normal person dealing with crazy. Anybody else have a character turn around on a rewatch like that?

Gotta admit I was totally on the "Skyler is the worst" train during the first watch. Binge watching it changed my mind too - she's literally just trying to keep her family from falling apart while her husband turns into a drug lord.

Emma you pretty much nailed it but I gotta gently push back on the "literally just trying to keep her family from falling apart" part. In my experience she also did some pretty shady stuff herself like the whole Ted thing and the tax fraud. Not saying she was worse than Walt or anything but she wasnt totally innocent either. She made choices that hurt the family too, not just Walt. But yeah I agree the "Skyler is the worst" take is way overblown, she was mostly reacting to a crazy situation.
