Picked The Wire over Breaking Bad and finished all 5 seasons in 11 days
My brother has been on me for two years to watch one of these and I finally sat down last month with a coin flip mentality. I went with The Wire because he said the first season takes patience, and I figured if I could get through the slow start I'd be hooked. I wasn't wrong. I knocked out season 1 in 3 days, then seasons 2 and 3 back to back over one weekend, which I do not recommend if you have a job. By season 4 I was watching 2 episodes a night after work and still thinking about Stringer Bell at my desk the next morning. Finished the whole thing in 11 days, which is probably a record for me. Now I'm wondering if I saved the wrong show for last and Breaking Bad is going to feel like a step down. Anyone here watched both and have a strong opinion on which one hits harder?
