Ngl, the constant praise for character-driven anthologies puzzles me.

I watched a highly recommended one, and it moved too slow for a binge. Tbh, I kept checking my phone instead of being drawn in.

Ugh, tell me about it. I tried that new cooking competition show everyone's buzzing about. The host tries too hard to be funny and the challenges feel totally fake. I made it through two episodes hoping the real chefs would save it, but nope. Just a bunch of forced drama and bad jokes.

I know exactly what you mean about trying a show. Sometimes you give it a real shot, maybe three or four episodes, hoping it gets good. But the characters just don't connect, or the plot feels like it's going nowhere fast. It's such a letdown when you're looking for something new to get into and it just falls flat. Happened to me with that space drama everyone talked about last year.
