My weird trick for getting through a show's slow first season
Started watching this old sci-fi series, 'Farscape'. First season was a real drag. Friend told me to watch it at 1.25x speed. Felt dumb, but tried it for three episodes. Dialogue was still clear, but the pacing felt way better. Anyone else use speed watching to push through a rough start?

Combine it with a chore like folding laundry to double your productivity.

Try watching the whole thing on mute with subtitles. You get the plot without the bad acting, plus you can make up your own dialogue. I mean, it's basically a choose your own adventure at that point.

That thing about muting it and making up your own dialogue? My buddy Dan actually did that with a Korean drama his girlfriend made him watch. He narrated the whole thing like a nature documentary, called the main character "Sad Kimchi Man" for like eight episodes. She was not amused but I thought it was hilarious.
