My coworker's 2 AM take on true crime docs messed me up
Was talking to Dana from the night shift at the store about what we rewatch during slow hours, and she said she refuses to binge any true crime docu-series because they all follow the same 'missing white woman' template. She pulled up stats showing like 70% of those shows cover cases that got national attention while ignoring way more local cases. Now I can't unsee it every time I scroll past another one in my queue. Anyone else feel weird about enjoying that genre after thinking about who gets the spotlight?
