My cousin pushed me to watch The Bear and I hated him for 3 episodes

Tbh my cousin Matt kept bugging me to binge The Bear, saying it was the best show he'd seen in years. I gave in last month and after episode 1 I texted him asking what his problem was. The show just felt so frantic and loud, I almost quit right there. But he said to push through to episode 4, so I did. Honestly by the end of episode 4 I was totally hooked and now I've watched both seasons twice. Has anyone else been given a recommendation that took a few episodes to click for you?
