My 10-year-old nephew said 'The Bear' was boring because nobody had superpowers, and I had to sit down.

My cousin's kid said the same thing about a movie where people just talked in a restaurant. He was waiting for someone to fly through the window. Kids are raised on Marvel stuff now, actual human stress looks slow. I tried explaining the superpower was not having a mental breakdown during the dinner rush. He just asked if the chef could shoot webs from his wrists.

Oh man, @holly_flores79... what movie was it, though? I'm curious if the kid would even get the stress of a normal dinner rush.

The trick is giving them a mission during the rush. Tell the kid to count how many times the waiter says "be right with you" in five minutes. It makes the boring stuff feel like a spy game and keeps them quiet.
