I used to think you HAD to watch shows the week they came out
For years, I'd rush to watch new episodes of stuff like 'Stranger Things' the day they dropped to avoid spoilers. It felt like homework. Then, last fall, I waited a full month to start 'The Bear' season 2. Binging it all in one weekend with NO pressure was a total game changer. I actually remembered the plot and enjoyed it more. Now I deliberately wait for a full season to be out before I even start. Does anyone else find they enjoy shows MORE when they wait and binge?

Ever try to watch a show that everyone says you have to see, but you just can't get into the first few episodes? I did that with a big fantasy show a while back, felt like I was forcing it because of the hype. Then I came back to it like a year later and just watched when I felt like it, no schedule, and it clicked way better.

Yeah, that "schedule" part is key. I think a lot of shows get ruined because you feel like you have to watch them on someone else's timeline, like a weekly episode drop. It turns it into a chore instead of something you actually want to do. The whole "you have to see this" pressure can kill the fun, especially when you're not in the right mood for that kind of story. It's almost like you have to forget the hype and just let the show find you.

Spoiler culture turned TV into a stressful race. Now my biggest fear is accidentally finding out a show is actually good.
