I gave up on 'The Wire' after two episodes, then a friend told me to skip to season 4
I tried to start 'The Wire' last year but found the first couple episodes slow and confusing. A buddy said to just jump ahead to season 4, which focuses on the school system. I did, and I was hooked immediately, then went back and watched the earlier seasons with way more interest. Has anyone else used a non-chronological start to get into a show that everyone says is great?

Yeah, the "friend did that with Lost" thing is so real. I mean, it's like we all have that one show we tell people to watch but then warn them not to finish. I see it all the time now, sean_robinson, where the fun is in the mystery and not the answers. Maybe it's just me but I feel like we're all getting better at quitting stuff that stops being fun.
