I finally got hooked on The Bear after a coworker wouldn't stop quoting it

My coworker Dave kept saying 'Yes, Chef' every time I asked him a question, and I finally asked him about it last Tuesday. He told me it's from this show about a sandwich shop in Chicago that's super intense but also kind of funny. Has anyone else had a show worm its way into their life through a random reference like that?

Lol I saw a thing online saying the show actually filmed in a real Chicago restaurant and the owner gave them his grandmas sauce recipe for authenticity. That kind of attention to detail makes me want to check it out even more. Plus I heard the stress levels in the kitchen scenes are scientifically accurate which is wild.
