I binged 4 seasons of a show set in Duluth last month and now I keep noticing how every episode ends on a meal scene
Every single season finale wraps with the family eating together at the same diner booth, and I started counting it around episode 6 of season 2, has anyone else caught a show that leans this hard on one setting to signal the end of an arc?

That meal scene thing is everywhere once you start looking for it. In my experience it's the same as how almost every sitcom has that one couch or table where all the big talks happen, or how road trip movies always end with everyone back at the same house they left. Your mileage may vary on whether it's lazy writing or just a comfort thing, but I lean toward comfort. There's something about food and a familiar spot that tells your brain "okay, we're safe now, story's over." I bet if you rewatched those finales you'd notice they even use the same camera angle on the booth every time, which is a whole other level of committing to the bit.
