Heard a guy at the hardware store say he watched The Wire 9 times straight through
He said he just starts it over the second the finale ends and I honestly couldn't tell if he was proud or embarrassed about it, has anyone else locked into that kind of endless loop with a show?

See it more like comfort food than obsession, sometimes you just need that familiar storytelling.

nah i gotta disagree here. doing that many rewatches just sounds like you're not finding anything new to watch. like the wire is amazing, don't get me wrong, but nine times straight through? that's like a year of your life minimum just watching the same show over and over. there's so much good tv out there, why lock yourself into one thing forever? i get rewatching a favorite show once every few years, but back to back like that feels kinda obsessive. you're missing out on everything else.
