Almost ruined a whole season with one wrong click on my streaming queue
I was halfway through the third episode of a new crime drama on my laptop in my dorm room when I accidentally hit 'next episode' instead of pause. The autoplay skipped me past a huge reveal about the killer, and I didn't realize until I saw a character acting totally different later. Has anyone else had a streaming mishap like that where you had to rewind and hope you missed nothing?

Yeah, the "accidentally hit next episode instead of pause" thing is a classic. I did something similar with a show that had a mid-credits scene. I was tired, hit skip, and missed the whole setup for the next season's villain. Had to Google it later, which basically ruined the surprise. Autoplay is the real menace here, not the buttons. It should default to asking "are you sure?" before jumping to the next episode. That five second wait would save a lot of rewinding and frustration. Now I just pause before I even look away from the screen, keeps my thumb in check.

The "are you sure" popup would honestly save me so many headaches, I had the exact same thing happen with the season 3 finale of a crime drama where I missed the entire post credit reveal because my thumb slipped. Autoplay is like a trap, it just keeps going and before you know it you're five minutes into an episode you weren't ready for. Now I pretty much keep my phone in my other hand or just pause before I even blink, feels like the only way to stay ahead of it.
