Swapped from cable ties to waxed thread after a shop owner in Austin showed me his 15 year old build job still looking clean

Used to zip tie everything tight and trim the ends until I realized the thread lets me route cables way smoother plus it doesn't crack or leave sharp edges, and has anyone else found a trick that made their builds look way more professional?

Don't see it that way at all. Zip ties with a proper flush cutter are faster and hold tighter than thread ever will. That waxed thread can loosen up over time, especially in hotter climates. Plus, if you ever need to reroute a cable, you gotta cut the thread and start over compared to just snipping a zip tie.

Wait, you actually convinced me. Never thought of it that way.
